This video highlights the difference between training a client on squat techniques for the bar, and for the individual. It is a bit of a brain dump on the process of building the ideal technique for a lift.
It could also explain why when you squat it looks different to other people who squat. Also why you cannot squat as much as your mates, and yet they keep correcting your technique when you lift close to the amount that they lift.
The clear squat technique message from me, the author and bad singer, is to make sure that you train the client specifically. So great technique to win competitions, many squats and squat techniques to learn better squatting mechanics and let the clients body choose its favourite route to produce the most force it can for its chosen technique.
