A small study of people with diabetes was subject to measures of physical and physiological fitness to evaluate the difference between high-intensity training and continuous moderate training. As quoted above there was little difference between the two styles of training. The issue with this study is not the study, although it is small numbers, it will allow for a repeat of the study. Where you may find an issue will be where trainers use this as a reference to either build up or ramp down the argument for their bias towards cardiovascular training.
