- Identify the key movements in detail. Use an app such as Kinesio Capture to help you see the motions in a frame by frame way to find the exact movements that make up the skill.
- Identify any previous injuries your client has had and any sport specific injuries that the client may be at risk of. Use this to build a skill list, which will drive training and assessments.
- Be slave to the game and its requirements, not the energy systems and their requirements.
- Plan your programming around the players other requirements, especially important pre-season and late season.
